Hi Udaya,
Could you post this question as an Issue on GitHub? I think very few people keep looking at the Forum.
https://github.com/KratosMultiphysics/Kratos/issues
Thanks,

How about having a placeholder for a data value container in constitutive law and define a default behavior for GetValue() and SetValue() functions rather than leaving them virtual? Doesn't it help avoid duplication of code and repetitive calculation while defining the constitutive laws on custom applications side? This probably could save on computational time with some memory overhead.

Hi Rafael,
I strongly suggest to post this question again on the GitHub site, as a new Issue. As everone moved there probably nobody saw your question here.

Computational Fluid Dynamics / Periodic Boundary conditions
« Last post by Rafael Bravo on March 01, 2018, 12:33:41 PM »
Dear Kratos Team

Im interested in implementing periodic boundary conditions. I found the PeriodicConditionUtilities, could you give a small example about how to use it?

I'd like to implement a tube wit periodic boundaries.

Please get in contact with Vicente Mataix (vmataix@cimne.upc.edu) or Josep Maria Carbonell (cpuigbo@cimne.upc.edu), they have been working on different types of contact between solids. You will see a lot of activity in GitHub on the recent development of contact algorithms.

Python / Re: Get Property Id of an element

Hi Peter,
Yes, it is possible, simply write:

element.Properties.Id

element.Properties returns the properties, then you just have to get the Id of that.
I hope this helps,

Miguel Angel

Hallo,

it is a simple question. Is it possible to get the property Id of an element in Python similar to the element Id (element.Id)??

Thanks

Hello Developers,

Thanks for the wonderful OOPs finite element library,

I have just started with Kratos for material point method and am trying to understand the entire structure of the code briefly. Can you please help me in understanding variable base interface ??

Best,
Sagar
