SlaveContactFace3D

General description

This condition represents a part of a slave surface for contact problems. Within the slave surface all Lagrangean multipliers are stored [\lambda_N\;\;\lambda_T^1\;\;\lambda_T^2]. In addition the SlaveContactFace3D provides the method CalculateOnIntegrationPoints used within the postprocessing, to visualize values on the contact surfaces. How to use

The SlaveContactFace3D is part of the KratosStructuralApplication and can be generated in the .cond input file using

  • SlaveContactFace3D3 for the face of a 4 node tetrahedron with linear shape functions,
  • SlaveContactFace3D6 for the face of a 10 node tetrahedron with quadratic shape functions,
  • SlaveContactFace3D for the face of a 8 node hexahedron with linear shape functions,
  • SlaveContactFace3D8 for the face of a 20 node hexahedron with quadratic shape functions,
  • SlaveContactFace3D9 for the face of a 27 node hexahedron with quadratic shape functions,
