MAJOR RESEARCH ACTIVITIES Developed comprehensive multiphase CFD models for fire dynamics and suppression. Developed a range of analytical and CFD models for solid fuels ignition and combustion. Developed CFD models for large scale fire and explosions, including evaluating their consequences. Contributed to combustion theory in the areas of thermal explosion and dynamical system models for fire dynamics. Contributed to development of fractional calculus methods for heat transfer problems. Developed a class of efficient methods for free boundary problems, based on the use of thermal potentials.
